The Colli dei Mandorli Tenuta San Vito is an excellent red organic wine made from Merlot grapes growing on a hill next to a garden of almond trees called Colli dei Mandorli.

• Color: Rich ruby red
• Nose: beguiling, rich and complex, fruity-spicy scent of black berries, plum, with traces of spices, coffee and chocolate, which arouse great expectations of its taste.
• Palate: opulent and expressive, complex and yet velvety soft, harmonious and elegant. Nevertheless, it has a firm structure and long lasting finish with ripe tannin. It’s an excellent organic wine that can be stored for 10 years.

After more than thirty years of organic farming, there is no longer any residue in the soil from past 'pests' (pesticides). In addition, the vineyards are surrounded by forest and protected from foreign influences. As a result, pesticides can not get directly into and on the vines, either through the roots or over the air. This is a distinct advantage over vineyards that have recently been converted to organic viticulture.

The Merlot grapes for the Colli dei Mandorli are harvested by hand in optimal ripe condition. The berries are separated from the panicles, lightly squeezed and fermented in the mash at the lowest possible temperature. The maturation and refinement of this red wine takes place in barriques.
