The village of Vacquiéres where the Château de Lascaux Languedoc AOC Garrigue, plus que nature produced, is not so far from the Mediterranean Sea, Montpellier and Nimes, and yet it is a place of peace and quiet where nature is still intact. One cannot imagine any other place where biodynamic viticulture could succeed better.

Biodynamic Wine Profile  

• Colour: intense, bright dark red colour.
• Nose: Aromatic scents of black berries (blackberry and blueberry), sweet spices (vanilla, dark chocolate and notes of violets).  
• Mouth: Very nice balance with a juicy texture, subtle notes of dark chocolate and delicate tannins. A very pleasant wine with a nice finish.

Château de Lascaux, Languedoc AOC, Garrigue Plus Que Nature, red, vinification du vin biodynamique

The grapes come from several vineyards planted on limestone soils in the heart of the garrigue and surrounded by Aleppo pine and green oak.

Depending on the plot, the grapes are harvested manually or by machine and completely destemmed. The actual winemaking begins with a 3 to 4 day maceration of the lightly crushed grapes and a 14 day alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature. The aging of this biodynamic wine in concrete tanks takes 5 to 6 months.

This cuvée was made from harvest to bottling without the addition of sulphites.
