The vines of the Domaine de Marcoux are older than 50 years on average, 4.5 hectares are even older than 90 years. These are the best conditions for the production of premium organic wines. Grenache, Mourvedre, Syrah and Cinsault vines grow on different plots with different soil types. Reddish mineral-rich soil is covered with round cut large stones, which store the heat of the day and at night they propose it to the vines. Also gravelly and clayey, but also sandy and calcareous clay soils are present in different layers. They contribute as much to the complexity of the organic wines, as do the different varieties. Catherine and Sophie Armenian quest to be as close to nature as possible. The constant search for perfect organic wines led them to biodynamic farming and winemaking according to the teachings of Rudolf Steiner. The reward of this work are remarkable organic wines, which are awarded by Robert Parker regularly with more than 90 points.
