2020 was again a difficult year for winemakers in Bordeaux. April was hot and dry, the vines were blooming almost four weeks early. Then came in May, the frost and destroyed in many locations complete vineyards, Christian Gourgourio's vineyards were only partially affected. Summer, like spring, was hot and dry, August damp and a bit cooler. The grape harvest by hand started on 15 September with excellent grape quality and good quantity, where the grapes were spared the frost. As the grapes were healthy, a spontaneous fermentation with the grapey yeasts was carried out. This genuine "terroir wine" reached a natural alcohol content of 13.5% vol. Thereafter, the organic wine "La Tresse" matured 12 month in barriques.
