Organic wine - profile

  • Colour: Intense cherry red colour. 
  • Nose: diverse scents Aroma of ripe red fruits with spicy accents of vanilla, cinnamon and a hint of black pepper.
  • Mouth: On the palate we find a velvety yet well-structured wine with warmth and a powerful body.
  • Drink recommendation: at 16 to 18° C with well-seasoned dishes, dark meat, ragouts, pasta.

 

Organic wine production Mas Blanch i Jové, Saó o, Costers del Segre DO, red, 2018

The grape varieties 40% Tempranillo, 35% Grenache, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon are harvested by hand and quickly taken to the wine cellar.
Fermentation takes place in the mash at 28-30ºC and lasts 20 days. Then the 42% of the wine matures for 12 months in new French oak barrels and  58% of the wine in American casks that are lightly and medium toasted.
