Old native Catalan grape varieties such as the Sumoll vine, of which there are only a few hectares left, clearly show their full potential in the red organic wine from the Can Descregut, Penedes DO, Fera Ferotge. It has been proven that it was cultivated here as early as the 18th century and was able to adapt well to the climatic conditions here. However, their parentage is not clear. By the way, Fera Ferotge means "wild animal, wild beast" in Catalan.

Organic wine profile

• Colour: dark, bright cherry red.
• Nose: scented with ripe, dark cherries with notes of wild herbs.    
• Mouth: very fruity, fresh and lean but with a lot of flavor, stimulating acidity. A great meal companion.
• Drinking recommendation: Serve this wine at 10-12°C with dark fish (tuna), pan-fried fish with Mediterranean herbs and garlic, or at 12-15°C with grilled meat, vegetables, a ragout or pasta.

Manual grape picking, separation of the berries from the bunches, spontaneous fermentation of the berries in chestnut barrels. Then repeated decanting and aging in chestnut barrels. This organic wine achieves its clear appearance without filtering.
