The Riesling vines from the Sander vineyard grow on loess soils that store water well and provide the roots of the vines with sufficient moisture even in long dry and warm periods. You know, without moisture, the minerals in the soil can not dissolve and can not be taken from the roots. In a year like the 2018 a big advantage. The grapes were in perfect condition at the time of harvesting so that the winemaking could be done routinely.
