With its shining golden color, this Weingut Sander Sauvignon Blanc is not only seductive looking, its scents are also very charming. First you notice lime blossom and honey, and after a few minutes in the glass, the aromas of exotic fruits like passion fruit and pineapple make you wish to take a first sip. On the palate it is dense and concentrated with a fruity taste, which is also reminiscent of exotic fruits, spicy and sustainable.

Weingut Sander, Sauvignon Blanc, QbA, white, organic wine procesing

The Sander winery in Mettenheim was one of the very first organic wine estates in Germany. It has vine areas in hilly areas with loess soils, but also in the Rhine plain with sandy soils. Today the winery is organically farmed in the third generation.

The loess soil, rich in minerals, on which the Sauvignon Blanc vines grow in hilly terrain, gives the grapes a variety of fruity and spicy aromas that can be preserved through skilful vinification. The grapes are harvested by hand, a short maceration at low temperature and a low temperature during fermentation in the stainless steel tank complete the winemaking.
