Organic wine profile

• Color: bright yellow with greenish reflections
• Nose: fruity with spicy notes
• Mouth: An elegant wine with a harmonious interplay of different aromas. The wine is fresh and fruity, with little acid.
• Drinking recommendation: serve at 8 to 10° C. Goes well with light dishes, fish, vegetable gratin, asparagus, light pasta dishes, paella, young hard cheese.

Organic wine vinification Weingut Mohr, Rheingau, Pinot Gris

The Mohr winery has been practicing modern organic viticulture since 2014 according to the ECOVIN guidelines. In natural harmony, first-class organic wine is produced here in an environmentally friendly way for your pure, unadulterated enjoyment. The steep slopes of the vineyards around Lorch with the stony, slate and quartz soils are the basis and the greatest asset of the Mohr organic winery located here, which enables the production of high-quality, unique organic wine.

All grapes are harvested by hand, pressed in our own cellar, mostly spontaneously fermented with the grapes' own yeasts and aged in stainless steel tanks or in oak barrels.

Buyers of German wines should know that the term "dry" does not indicate the absence or low residual sugar content in the wine, but that the term "dry" is defined differently according to the German wine law. German wine can be described as dry if it contains a maximum of 9 g/l residual sugar and at the same time 8 g/l acid. This one gram difference between residual sugar and acidity also applies to wines with less acidity. This is intended to create a balance in taste between residual sugar and acid.
