This is how Jochen Neher, the winemaker, describes this organic wine:

The wine was fermented on the mash and then stored in German oak barrels for 9 months. The wood is beautifully integrated.

The wine impresses with a complex and multi-layered nose. It needs some time in the glass to open up. Therefore, please decant.

In addition to the subtle cassis, there are ripe blackberry aromas and strawberry compote on the nose. Scents of leather and smoke complete the aroma experience. Excellent with game, lamb, cheese and Rhenish sauerbraten. Also very enjoyable as a single player.
