Château La Rose Figeac

Château La Rose Figeac

The history of the Château La Rose Figeac began, when Louis Rapin, owner of Château La Tour Figeac and thus direct neighbor, bought the little estate - formerly called Cru Trintin - in 1961. Added to this were successively several small plöts with vines, which together resulted in the ownership of Château La Rose Figeac as was baptized. It includes a vineyard of 4.5 hectares in the south of the appellation Pomerol with sandy soils and 1 hectare in the north with gravel. From the vines in an average age of 30 years, 45 hl/hectare are harvested.. The switch to organic and biodynamic cultivation has been completed 2005/6 and since then, the wine may carry the label "wine made of organically grown grapes" and since 2012 "organic wine".
