Organic wine Rioja & Navarra, organic wines Spain

Our organic Rioja wines come from Bodegas Bagordi, located on land belonging to the Navarre region, but the vineyards are located within the Rioja municipality. Hence the wine designation Rioja Navardia for its excellent organic wines.

Due to its geographical characteristics, the Rioja wine-growing region is divided into three wine-growing regions: Rioja Alta, Rioja Alavesa and Rioja Oriental.

Each of these areas has different climatic conditions with Atlantic and Mediterranean influences. Diverse soil types and structures enable the successful cultivation of numerous grape varieties such as Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano, Viura, Mazuelo, Malvasia, Maturana, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Verdejo and others. The Rioja wine-growing region covers a total of more than 65,000 hectares of vineyards.

The wine-growing region of Navarra borders the Rioja area to the east and has comparable conditions. The area under vines is much smaller at around 20,000 hectares and is somewhat overshadowed by its more economically successful neighbor, although Navarra wines do not differ from Rioja wines in terms of quality. Unfortunately we cannot offer you any organic wine from Navarre at the moment.
