The village of Vacquiéres where the Château de Lascaux Languedoc AOC ECLAT DE GARRIGUE is produced, is not so far from the Mediterranean Sea, Montpellier and Nimes, and yet it is a place of peace and quiet where nature is still intact. One cannot imagine any other place where biodynamic viticulture could succeed better.

  • Colour: Rose petal color with silver reflections.
  • Nose: Floral aromas such as lily of the valley, honeysuckle and elderflower with hints of red berries. 
  • Mouth: Delicate, smooth and balanced. Aromas of flowers and white-fleshed fruits (Williams pear). Beautiful length and a slightly spicy finish.

Understand the word "ECLAT" in the old French sense as bang, splendour, shine, rise, burst. It is the story of a brief moment during the grape harvest for this rosé, when night gives way to day, the night slowly disappears and the first rays of sun touch the garrigue, the landscape takes on the color of the bright northern lights.

The grape harvest begins at night with a harvester under artificial light, because at this time it is still relatively cold. As the morning light increases, the harvesting process is completed and the grapes are immediately taken to the winery for winemaking. This avoids oxidation and preserves all the fruity aromas of the grapes. They are partially de-stemmed, cold pressed, macerated, pre-clarified and fermented at a controlled, low temperature. The aging of this biodynamic wine in stainless steel tanks takes 5 to 6 months.
