The Quinta do Montalto Fernão Pires Lisboa regional is an attractive organic white wine made from a indigene grape variety that is little known in other countries.

Organic Wine - Profile

Color: Straw yellow with greenish hints
Nose: Scents of ripe fruits and spices, slightly wooded.
Palate: In line with the aromas. Greasy yet fresh with excellent structure and a medium finish.
Drinking recommendation: Serve it at 10 to 12° C.,matches well with fish in creamy sauces and white meat, young cheeses, vegatables.

Organic wine - processing Quinta do Montalto, Fernão Pires, Lisboa regioanl, white

The grape picking was done by hand.The wine makers Luis Mendes and Carlos Santos decided to macerate the grapes in an open vat for 24 hours, then to decant and to ferment the juice with natural yeasts in French and American barriques. The maturing of the wine sur lie and with batonage took place also in barriques and lasted 6 month.
