Quinta da Pedra Escrita

The Quinta da Pedra Escrita is one of several properties that Rui Roboredo Madeira inherited from his ancestors. A family that owns several thousand hectares of land on the Douro River and in the adjacent Beira Interior region.

Rui Roboredo is a passionate winemaker, a wine nut who owns and manages several wineries but also advises and supports other winemakers. The ecological idea has played an important role for many years. Some of the wineries have been producing excellent organic wines for many years, including the Quinta da Pedra Escrita in the Douro Superior area with its granite and slate soils that can hardly be found elsewhere.
