The Guts-Weine (estate wines) are intended as the winery's basic wines, which should be easy to access and still provide fun, joy and enjoyment. Already in the barrel, we were impressed by this special Oekowein-Gut Zang "Spannung" Müller-Thurgau wine with its tight and spicy structure, which is completely different to what we are usually used to from the grape variety.

Organic wine profile

• Color: light yellow
• Nose: The nose is dominated by cool and nutmeg-spicy meadow herbs with tart hints of green apple, apple peel and citrus fruits.
• Mouth: On the tongue it comes across taut with invigorating acidity and then spreads out salty and matt with an ethereal fullness on the palate. It has a long, phenolically tart finish.
• Drinking recommendation:
• Serve at around 8°C. Ideal as an accompaniment to cold dishes and fish dishes from the pan.

All grapes are harvested by hand and spontaneously fermented with the grapes' own yeasts. Only in exceptional cases, such as when a period of bad weather is approaching, are the grapes for this wine harvested by machine in order to avoid losing the grapes due to rot. With the exception of some SO2, no preservatives or fining agents are used.

This organic wine shows everything that characterizes the 30-year-old organic cultivation practiced by the Zang family since 1990. It symbolically conveys their very own philosophy and many years of ecological experience in the vineyard!
