Finca las Caraballas

The organic winery Finca Las Caraballas in the D.O. Rueda, is about 170 km northwest of Madrid. It has 145 hectares of land that are gradually being planted with vines and represents, so to speak, a revival of viticulture, which came to a standstill around 150 years ago due to the phylloxera plague.

Today, mainly white organic wines from the Verdejo, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc varieties, but also red wines are produced here. For this purpose, traditional and modern methods and techniques are used to conserve natural resources and promote biodiversity in the vineyards, for which purpose only natural resources are used. A particularly big advantage of this region is the large temperature difference between day and night of 15-20° C, which brings out the fruity components of the grapes in the organic white wines to their best advantage.
