Organic wines in Piedmont

At the top of the list of quality wines are Barolo and Barbaresco wines, which must be made from the Nebbiolo grape variety. Other important grape varieties for Piedmontese organic wine are Barbera, Dolcetto Ruché, Albarossa, Grignolino, Freisa, Cortese, Arneis and some others.
The generally applicable regulations for the production of wine in Piedmont also apply to the production of organic wine, which can be aged in stainless steel tanks, large or small barrels or in barriques.
