Organic Penedes, biodynamic wine Penedes

The Penedes is a Mediterranean wine-growing region west and south of Barcelona. It is a very hilly landscape characterized by viticulture and agriculture in which organic wines and above all cava, a sparkling wine in bottle fermentation, is produced which is exported all over the world.

The wine-growing region with the Penedès designation of origin is divided into three sub-regions:

• Penedès Superior
• Penedès Maritimes
• Penedès Central

which differ in their landscape and their microclimate.

In general, Penedès red wines are characterized by exquisite, complex and delicate aromas.

The Penedes white wines are lively fresh, with restrained acidity, a smooth texture, intense, fruity and nuanced aromas. They go perfectly with shellfish, fish and pasta, among other things.

Finally, the sparkling wines under the D.O Clàssic Penedès and Corpinnat are also of the highest quality. They differ from those of the DO Cava in a positive way. The desire was the same in both cases, namely to reinforce the value of the origin of its grapes and the quality of its wines: all the fruit used in the production of both sparkling wines are 100% organic and from the Penedès.
The minimum aging for its sparkling wines has been set at 15 months for Peneès Clàssic and 18 months for the sparkling Corpinnat.
