• Colour: dense, dark garnet red
• Nose: a floral bouquet of violets and roses is accompanied by the scent of cherries, plums and red wild berries, a delicate nuance of licorice , spicy notes of toasted wood and tobacco (barrique).
• Mouth: This wine appears fresh, spontaneous and open right from the start. Its aromas are reminiscent of its scents. On the palate with volume, supple, velvety, round but grippy with a beautiful structure and fine, elegant tannins and a pleasant, long finish.
• Drinking recommendation: enjoy it at approx. 16° to 18° C. Decant it 2 hours before serving.

For this Grand Cru Saint-Emilion, the grapes are harvested and selected by hand from the oldest vines at Château Cormeil-Figeac. They ferment in the mash for 3 weeks. The young wine then matures in barriques of the 2nd and 3rd occupancy so that its fruity scent and taste components do not come to the fore due to the influence of the barrique (wood and smoke), but rather remain discreetly in the background. During its stay in the barrique, it is decanted several times, each time separating the wine from the solids.
