Refosco del Peduncoloi is a regional grape variety in Friuli and in the eastern part of Veneto. This La Baratta Refosco  is impressive to the eye with its intense ruby red color with violet nuances, but also with beautiful aromas and fruity-spicy taste.

Organic wine pofile

• Color: intense ruby red with distinct purple undertones.
• Bouquet: light notes of ripe plums, a little raspberry, hints of black pepper and a hint of mint..
• Taste: dry, fruity, spicy, delicate tannins and a little dark chocolate on the finish.
• Food ecommendations: now up to 6 months after delivery in cool storage in the original closed condition. A a rustic stew made with Borlotti beans, pearl barley, corn kernels, potatoes, bacon and garlic. In Friaul,  it is called papazoi.

The grapes are harvested mechanically or manually, depending on the location of the vineyards and the quality of the grapes. Maceration and fermentation lasts 8 to 10 days, depending on when the right color and flavor of the wine have been achieved. The ripening and refinement takes place in stainless steel tanks so that the fruity aromas of the grapes are retained in their freshness.
