This Clos Galena, Priorat DOQ wine focuses the knowledge and effort of the professionals on the winery. The goal is to capture the full potential of each vineyard plot, all the properties of the so characteristic terroir, as well as all the individual scents and tastes of each grape variety and to bring it into the bottle.

Organic wine profile

• Colour: deep red and dense
• Nose: impressive aromas of ripe red berries such as raspberries, black currants, blackberries, accompanied by aromas of dark chocolate, liquorice, Cinnamon and black pepper.
• Mouth: Full-bodied, opulent, full-bodied, velvety soft but with a good structure and all the aromas that one has also smelled. With perfect harmony, ripe tannins and a long finish.
• Serving recommendation: 16° C, goes well with hearty dishes.

Clos Galena, Priorat DOQ, red

The grape varieties 40% Garnacha, 20% CARINENA, 20% SYRAH, 20% CABERNET SAUVIGNON grow in five different plots of the winery that are best suited for each variety based on their soil type.
The harvest quantity per vine is extremely low at 0.5 kg. The grapes are harvested by hand, strictly selected and transported to the winery in 15 kg containers.
Each grape variety is processed separately there. First, the grapes are lightly crushed, which releases some juice, which together with the berry skins results in the mash, which macerates at 28° C and then ferments at 22°. The wine is then separated from the marc and stored in new French oak barriques for 12 months, but this noble organic wine is only allowed to leave the Clos Galena winery after another 24 months of aging in the bottle.
