• Colour: brilliant, delicate golden color in the glass
• Nose: fruity scents of apricot, star fruit, gooseberry, delicate notes of citrus fruits, Honey and a touch of chamomile.

Organic wine - production at the Mohr winery, Lorcher Krone, Riesling Großes Gewaechs (grand cru)

The vineyard location "Lorcher Krone" was classified as a Großes Gewaechs, called a Grand Cru in France. This makes it one of the best locations in the Lorch region. It is worthwhile for every winemaker to care for the vineyard and the vines with care to produce the best wines from the grapes.

Here the vines grow on loess-rich soil that is hidden under the gray slate. The grapes here are a little richer and more aromatic than on poorer soils. They are harvested by hand and macerate for a long time at a cool temperature so that all the aromas can be extracted from the grape skins. Fermentation with the grapes' own yeasts begins spontaneously. After fermentation, half of the wine matures in stainless steel tanks and half in oak barrels.

• Colour: light straw yellow
• Nose: its bouquet is reminiscent of apricots, yellow peaches, citrus fruits, delicate aromas of ripe pears and fresh apples and some honey.
• Mouth: These aromas continue on the palate, where they are complemented by mineral notes from the slate soil and retain some structure. Its taste is long-lasting, harmonious and very pleasant. Riesling fans will be delighted with this wine.

Not many winegrowers are as lucky as Jochen Neher to be able to purchase a winery that has a vineyard in an excellent location with almost 90-year-old Riesling vines. This makes them the oldest vines in the entire Rheingau. Of course, the grapes are harvested by hand. Freed from stems and panicles, they macerated in the chilled mash for 4 days.

During this time, the juice extracts important aromas from the berry shells and valuable enzymes are created. Only then were the grapes pressed. The wine is fermented exclusively with the natural yeasts that come from this vineyard: half of the wine matures in a small oak barrels, the other part in a stainless steel container.

• Color: light yellow
• Nose: This Silvaner shows a refreshing bouquet of salty meadow herbs from the Bergalm, yellow Citrus fruits and juicy stewed fruits such as apples and pears with a hint of quince jelly.
• Mouth: A still youthful, firm acidity draws it over the tongue, to the The edges are tart with the invigorating astringency of the wooden barrel. This wine has draw and a lot of drinking flow. Already in the barrel, we were impressed by this special Oekowein-Gut Zang "Spannung" Müller-Thurgau wine with its tight and spicy structure, which is completely different to what we are usually used to from the grape variety.

• Color: light yellow
• Nose: The nose is dominated by cool and nutmeg-spicy meadow herbs with tart hints of green apple, apple peel and citrus fruits.
• Mouth: On the tongue it comes across taut with invigorating acidity and then spreads out salty and matt with an ethereal fullness on the palate. It has a long, phenolically tart finish.
• Drinking recommendation:
• Serve at around 8°C. Ideal as an accompaniment to cold dishes and fish dishes from the pan.

The estate wines are intended as the winery's basic wines, which should be easy to access and still provide fun, joy and enjoyment. The name, OEKO-Weingut Zang “Resistance” says it all. The cuvée is made up of the fungus-resistant (PIWI for short) grape varieties Bronner and Johanniter. The vines are real fighters against mildew fungi in the vineyard and therefore need to be sprayed less.

• Color: light yellow
• Nose: Initially restrained Burgundian bouquet. There are spicy hints of meadow herbs, ripe apples and delicately exotic honeydew melon.
• Mouth: The tongue is dominated by smoky-spicy vegetal notes and a hint of exotic fruit impressions. Slightly astringent on the palate with grip and volume accompanied by a fine yellow-fruity aftertaste.

• Nez : The nose shows hints of apricot, elderflower and cassis paired with floral notes of roses and meadow herbs as well as a salty, cool feel of the soil.

He focuses on the mineral origins of the vineyards around the wine-growing towns of Sommerach and Nordheim. The existing shell limestone soil from the Main loop runs through the wines like a cool stream bed. Like the Oeko-Weingut Zang Orts-Wein Silvaner, they are all consistent representatives of its organic philosophy and style: close to nature, unvarnished, honest and dry.

• Color: Pale yellow
• Nose: The soil is already in focus in the nose. A cool touch of shell limestone lies with hints of wet stone over smoky vegetal nuances of root vegetables and the fine, subtle fruit of pears and quince.
• Mouth: On the palate, the minerality of the soil can really be felt. A chalky grip on the tongue counteracts the otherwise round, creamy character of the long yeast base. There are also salty impressions of wild herbs and yellow stone fruit.
